Roseri

The name Roseri reflects the delicate nature of the wine’s rose bud aroma. This rosé wine is crafted from a perfect blend: five native Lake Garda grapes (Groppello, Marzemino, Barbera, Sangiovese and Rebo) and the expert handling of the area’s winemakers.

After the harvest, the grapes are subjected to cold soaking, a technique used to extract the typical Chiaretto colour and aromas from the skins. This produces a richly elegant and fresh must, which is then carefully fermented to preserve the unique characteristics of this rosé wine.

At one time, Chiaretto was made by soaking the grapes with their skins for one full night, hence the nickname “wine of one night“. This practice gave the wine its distinctive pink colour and increased its complexity.

The clay soil in lower Garda, where the grapes are grown for the Valtènesi Riviera del Garda Classico Chiaretto, give the wine elegance and a full flavour.

Groviglio (Groppello grape variety)

The name Groviglio is derived from Groppello. In Brescia dialect, the word ‘grop’ means “knot” and the interesting feature of Groppello is that its unique cluster shape is reminiscent of a knot. Groviglio is therefore synonymous with ‘knot’, and for Cà Maiol, it is a tribute to the deep-rooted dialects of the magnificent area it comes from.

After selecting the best clusters and manually collecting the grapes in a crate, part of the grape is left to rest for around 20 days in fruit-drying rooms. The two parts are then fermented separately in stainless steel with selected yeasts at a controlled temperature, followed by an elevage in stainless steel for 9 months. Elegant, fine and extremely versatile.

Chiaretto

The Valtènesi Riviera del Garda Classico Chiaretto is a rosé wine popular for its unique colour, subtle aroma and delicate structure. It is a pale pink colour with slightly coppery reflections. The citrus notes of pink grapefruit pair with the delicate floral aroma and the scent of red berries. This wine is delicate and smooth, with a harmonious balance of an enveloping sensation, refinement and full flavour.

Produced from four quintessential Lake Garda grapes (Groppello, Marzemino, Sangiovese and Barbera), Chiaretto is the most authentic expression of Lake Garda, a region steeped in history and tradition, and it delights the palates of wine lovers every year, offering a unique and unforgettable sensory experience.
