Which wine to choose for an aperitif: tips and suggestions
Aperitif time is a convivial and relaxing occasion perfect for sharing a good glass of wine with friends and family. But which wine to drink for an aperitif in company? Here are some tips for choosing the most suitable aperitif wine: let’s discover together the proposals of Cà Maiol.
Lugana still or sparkling wine?
An aperitif can only start with a fresh and lively sparkling wine such as, for example, Cantariva Brut Lugana Metodo Classico, made with Turbiana grapes grown around Lake Garda. Its fine and persistent bubble gives elegance and refinement, while its aromas of white fruit and citrus open the taste buds and prepare the palate for aperitif flavors.
If, on the other hand, you prefer a still white wine, Prestige Lugana is the ideal choice as an aperitif white wine. Its freshness and minerality, combined with notes of green apple and white flowers, make it a versatile and pleasant wine to drink, perfect to accompany cured meats, cheeses and vegetables.
Evolved white wines for a refined aperitif
For refined gastronomic pairings, Cà Maiol offers more evolved white wines such as Lugana Superiore Molin, aged for nine months in steel, on noble lees in suspension, and Sùere Lugana Riserva where vinification and maturation are carried out partly in French oak barriques and tonneaux, mostly new, and partly in steel.
These wines develop a complex and harmonious bouquet, with notes of ripe fruit, spices and honey. Their structure and persistence make them perfect for accompanying more elaborate dishes, such as white meats and aged cheeses.
