The choice of this name is linked to a word in Ancient Rome, “Giomelle”, which signifies “the union of two things”. Giomè indeed combines two elements: the indigenous grape of the hinterland of Lake Garda, Groppello, and a blend made up of Marzemino, Barbera and Sangiovese, varieties that have been present for a long time in this zone.
Following separate vinification and maturation of each variety in stainless steel, we proceed to blend the wines together to create Giomè, a medium-bodied, fresh and well-balanced wine.
