Our oldest Groppello vines are like the gnarled hands of those who know all of life’s secrets, because time has turned their capabilities into experience: a tangle (“groviglio” in Italian) of shoots and leaves which, at every harvest, offers us Cà Maiol’s most precious red grapes. Indeed, it is from these ancient vines that we have added a new chapter to our story, with a gleaming, contemporary wine in which the purity and fragrance of the fruit are as bright as the reflection of the sun on the waters of Lake Garda. Groviglio is the shining soul of Cà Maiol’s first pure Groppello, a tribute to the territory and history of the red grape vines that have always expressed the uniqueness of these lands between lake and sky.
